Highway 50 reopens after pileup in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Que.

Highway 50 is open again in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Que., after a five- or six-vehicle pileup.

Highway 50 is open again in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Que., after a five- or six-vehicle pileup.

On its online traffic map,Ministre des Transportssaid Wednesday that the highway was closed from about7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. between the exits to chemin Kilmar andchemin Scotch into the community of Grenville.

The Sret du Qubec said the crash involvedfive or six vehicles and nothing more than minor injuries.

The first significant snowfall of the season is happening across the regionbutan Environment Canada winter travel advisory was not issuedfor the Grenvillearea, unlikenearby communities.

The scene is roughly halfway between Gatineau, Que., and Montreal.
