Missing 3-year-old boy found alive and well

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) saya three-year-old boy who has been missing since Sunday morningin a wooded area about 50 kilometresnorth of Kingston, Ont., has been found alive and well Wednesday.

Jude Leyton was found just after 3 p.m.,by four OPP emergency response team members, Const. Curtis Dick with the Frontenac OPP detachment told CBC.

"They noticed a blue jacket in the woods," he said. "And they found Jude."

Officers gave the boy water and led him out of the forest soon after, he said, adding the boy was fortunate to have been dressed for the weather.

"It's an incredible situation with a very happy ending," he said, adding the family is overjoyed to have him back.

"We all feel that sense of relief," he said.

Police said Jude Leytonwas last seen at about 11 a.m., on March 28 at his family's fishing lodge onCanoe Lake Road in theSouth Frontenac area.

Approximately 50 OPP emergency response team officers have been searching for the boy since Sunday. Another 50 members from two volunteer search and rescue teams out of Ottawa and Smiths Falls, Ont., joinedthe search Monday.

Dick said the next step is to talk to Leyton and find out how he got lost and where he went over the past three days.
