Mollywood, not to be confused with Bollywood, is Malayalamcinema with more than 100 films produced each year.

In Almonte, the film "Two Countries" is being created, detailing a story about an Indo-Canadian girl who falls in love with a Malayaliman in eastern Ontario.

Bruce Harvey, the head of Invest Ottawa's film office, said a major chunk of the film's budget goes to local businesses and hiring Canadians.

Harvey also said the production, expected to wrap up on Aug. 7, isa great boost for tourism.
