Motorcyclist dies in collision with farm tractor

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person has died in a two-vehicle crash near Pembroke, Ont.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) saya motorcycle rider has died in a two-vehicle crash near Pembroke, Ont.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 41 at Walsh Road around 4 p.m. on Thursday after a motorcycle collided with a farm tractor, police said in a news release.

Police said the driver of the farm tractor was not injured but the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries, where he died. The identities of those involved have not been released.

Police closed Highway 41 between Mountain Road and Hewitts Corner while officers conducted their investigation with a collision reconstructionist and technical collision investigation team, police said.

Highway 41 at Walsh Road is around 111 kilometres northwest of downtown Ottawa.
