The top proposal for theredevelopmentofLeBretonFlats, plans for Canada's150thbirthday party and the contentious Victims of Communism Memorial wereon the agenda as the National Capital Commission board met April 28.

It was thefirst meeting that Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Gatineau Mayor Maxime Pedneaud-Jobinwereable to ask questions and take part in discussions as non-voting members of theNCC board.

Both municipalities have long called for a voice on the board, as its decisions impact transit and development in both cities.
