The city's public health department says it has beendistributingfree condoms for years and is using the country's 150thbirthday celebration to spread the word about safe sex.

Online voters can choose between four tag lines:

  • "Get tested, why not eh?"
  • A hockey-themed design that reads, "Gear up for fun."
  • "Don't spread more than love."
  • And a design that reads "Protect your..." with a picture of a comfortable-looking rooster

The goal is to increase condom use while decreasing the rates of chlamydia, gonorrheaand the risk of HIV/AIDS in the city.

The city's public health unit says it distributes approximately650,000condoms every year with the help of over100 community partners.
