The City of Ottawa wants people around the Gloucester Centre and Highway 174 drivers to know it's planning a mock emergency near Blair station on Saturday.

It said in a media advisory Friday there should beemergency response training along the westbound lanes of the highway before the Blair Road exit and along the future rail extension east of Blair station.

The training has to do with this extensionand should run from about 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday unless weather or other circumstances force a change.

As always and by law, drivers should move over and slow down when possible near emergency vehicles.

This Confederation Line extension will move the easternmost station from Blair another five stations and approximately 12 kilometres to Trim Road. It could be ready for summer 2025.

The current Confederation Line is closed for maintenance this weekendand replaced by R1 buses.
