Ottawa man charged with murder for 2023 infant death

Ottawa police have charged a 30-year-old Ottawa man with second degree murder overthe death of a four-month-old infant girl on May 6, 2023.

Following a 16-month investigation, police also charged the man, Ahmed Mashkor, with failing to provide thenecessaries of life.

The death occurred at a residence on Genest Street in the city's Vanier neighbourhood.
