Coun. Jeff Leiper will represent Kitchissippi ward at the city council table for a second term.

With all 114 polls reporting, Leiper secured 12,068 ballots in his favour nearly 85 per cent of the vote.

His only opponent, Daniel Stringer, posted 2,083 votes. Stringer also vied for the job in 2014.

The ward has some of the most contentious development issues in the city, including spot zoning applications and the lack of a transit development plan for Westboro station.

Leiper will also have to deal with the western extension of LRT Phase 2.

The results remain unofficial until the city clerk verifies the final poll counts, which is expected to happen by Thursday.
