History

The old riding of Ottawa West took in most of the city's old west end and ran south and northwest into the former city ofNepean.

In the 2015 election,Ottawa West-Nepean now includes the neighbourhoods of Bayshore, Crystal Beach, Centrepointe, Britannia, Carlington and Lincoln Heights.

In the 2011 census, 26.4 per cent of residents chose a primary language other than French orEnglish.
