3 candidates hope to disrupt incumbent's flow in River

Four candidates are on the ballot to represent River ward at the council table.

Incumbent Riley Brockington faces 3 candidates in bid to win 2nd term

River ward has a population of 48,485 people living in 21,288 homes.

Four candidates are on the ballot to represent River ward at the council table.

Riley Brockington, who won the seat in October 2014 with 36 per cent of the vote, is hoping to keep it for another four years.

Thethree other candidates who'd like to unseat him are:

Community safety is a perennial issue for the Carlington area of River Ward. On the far northeast corner of the ward, atthe Central Experimental Farm, the Ottawa Hospital is beginning the enormous project of building anew Civic campus.And, at Mooney's Bay, residents are looking to finally get a new beach-side pavilion to replace one that was built in the1960s.
