Man injured in Russell Road shooting

One person was shot onRussell Road Wednesday night, Ottawa police said.

The call came in at around 7:55 p.m. andthe guns and gangs unit responded.

Paramedics confirmed a man was shot and was treated fora leg injury. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the shooting, Ottawa's 12th of the year.
