Sketch released of Ottawa sex assault suspect

Ottawa police have released a composite sketch of the man believed to be responsible for several recent sexual assaults in downtown and south Ottawa.

Ottawa police have released a sketch of a man they believe is responsible for eight sexual assaults in the city over the past couple weeks.

Most of the assaults happened in thedowntown areastarting April 14 but there were three incidents that happened April 27 in theAlta Vista neighbourhood.

Seven of the incidents involved a man pulling a woman's pants down from behind, plus one incident where a man followed a daycare worker into a south Ottawa school.

The man is described as Caucasian, between 20 and 30 years old, standing about five feet six inches tall, with an average to medium build.

He also has short dark hair, dark eyes and was seen wearing a dark hooded jacket and sometimes a dark baseball cap.
