Bob Sudermann, one of the owners of Camp Fortune, is hoping for there's more snow this year than last.

"I'm really good at blocking bad memories and last year was a really bad one," he said. "We had no snow in December, didn't get snow until December 29th ... And in fact it was our second green Christmas in a row."

Still, Suderman said the hill will be ready for skiers and snowboarders if the lack of snow continues.

"We've invested heavily into snow-making and different technologies to allow us to make snow more efficiently at a higher temperature, combined with different grooming techniques," he said.
