Sex assault suspect now sought for 5 incidents

The Ottawa police sexual assault unit is now investigating five alleged cases where women were reportedly approached from behind by a male suspect Saturday or Monday who attempted to pull their pants down.

The Ottawa police sexual assault unit is now investigating alleged cases where five womenwere reportedly approached from behind by a man Saturday or Monday who attempted to pull their pants down.

Two incidents reportedly happened early Saturday morningbetween 6:00 a.m. and7:15 a.m. in in the area of Albert Street between Bronson and Empress avenues.

In the first incident, a suspect followed a female on the street and pulled her pants down to her knees, inappropriately touching her in the process.

Three more similar incidents happened Monday between 6:20 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. at O'Connor Street and Lisgar Street, Preston Street at Saint Anthony Street and Loretta Street at Young Street.

The suspect in each instance is described as a white male with an average build, about five feet six inches tall, with short dark hair. His age is about 30 years old and he was wearing a dark or grey hoodie and eitherjeans or grey sweatpants.
