A pro-democracy rally was heldMonday afternoon outside Province House concerningmore thana dozen issues, which protesters say, are not responsible decisions.

About 200 people showed up to hear the nearly two hours of presentations about everything from frustration over Plan B to a lack of abortion accessibility on the Island.

Tony Reddin organized the "Rally for Responsible Government."

"Decisions can be changed of course, and in the case of the Plan B we've certainly decided that we intend to keep up this campaign," said Reddin, adding that the Harmonized Sales Tax set to come into effect next yearis another contentious topic.

"It's really important for people to have input in these decisions, to feel like they have some power in their democracy."

Reddin said the organizers had hoped to catch the attention of politicians, but no politicians were invited to attend or speak at the rally.

The fall sitting of the legislature opens on Tuesday.
