Swiss developer Richard Homburg says he has big plans for downtown Charlottetown.

Homburg International purchased Dyne Holdings earlier this week, and with it the Holman Grand Hotel, Confederation Court Mall, National Bank Tower, BDC Place and Homburg Financial Tower.

"The combination of further development and redevelopment and certain things that we will bring to the downtown will culminate and accomplish a lot I think for bringing more activity to the downtown area," said Homburg.

Homburg said the Holman Grand, which closed in November, will be reopening within days and he will be sharing plans for more development during a visit to P.E.I. in June.

He said he wants to finish what he started. His companies used to control Dyne Holdings, but he resigned from his leadership in those companies in 2011 amidst financial troubles.
