Brackley construction projects to continue through summer

Some areas of Prince Edward Island National Park are looking more like a construction zone thanks to some major upgrades currently underway.

The project is part of a $6 million investment by the federal government

Some areas of Prince Edward IslandNational Park are looking more like a construction zone thanks to some major upgrades currently underway.

Large equipment is on site and crews are paving roads and parking areas at the Brackleysection of the park, andresurfacing work on some roads will continue into June.

The project is part of a $6-million investment by the federal government.

Park officials said the work will mean some delays for visitors and the temporaryclosure of bike trails along some roads.

Planned work this year also includes ongoing repairs on the Covehead Bridge which connects Brackley and Dalvay.

That will also mean some delays and detours until the project is complete.
