Burger Love grows on 1st year success

Following a successful inaugural year, P.E.I.'s Burger Love launched its second year with even more restaurants participating.

In 2011, 14 restaurants served up 5,517 burgers. Now, eight new restaurants are featuring specially designed burgers made with P.E.I. beef this year.

Diners get to vote for their favourite burger on a special website. This year the contest has issued a challenge with a prize for the first person to send in photos ofhimself/herself eating all 22 burgers.

The competition is more than a restaurant promotion. It is also designed to celebrate local beef, with a section of the website profiling some of the farmers who raised the beef.
