Eastern P.E.I. Chamber of Commerce wants to help rural businesses with challenges

The Eastern P.E.I. Chamber of Commerce will be holding meetings to find out what challenges local business are facing.

7 meetings scheduled to be held over next month

The Eastern P.E.I. Chamber of Commerce will be holding meetings to find out what challenges local businesses are facing.

Board member Jay Adamsson said business owners in rural parts of P.E.I. deal with specific challenges, including accessto high-speedinternet,and the chamber of commerce hopes to help.

"We are looking at trying to build a community and let people realize what other businesses are out there and that they're not alone in sharing some of these issues," said Adamsson.

"Maybe through collective action, we can start to address some of these issues."

There will be seven meetings held, whichare scheduled to begin the week of March 28 and continue until April 28.

The meetings will be held in several communities including St. Peters,Murray Harbour, and Montague.
