Charlottetown has one of the best job outlooks in the country, according to a survey released Tuesday by Manpower Employment.

'A hopeful hiring pace for the upcoming months'

Charlottetown has one of the best job outlooks in the country, according to a survey released Tuesday by Manpower Employment.

The survey found 33 per cent of employers in Charlottetown plan to hire in the upcoming quarter, from July to September, and seven per cent plan on cutting staff.

Manpower spokeswoman Mindy Stoltz said the outlook is an improvement from the third quarter of 2015.

"It is also a two percentage point increase from the Outlook reported during the same time last year, indicating a hopeful hiring pace for the upcoming months," said Stoltz in a news release.

The P.E.I. numbers compare to a national outlook with only 16 per cent of employers hiring, and five per cent cutting.
