The Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce is asking its members to take part in a survey that will be a report card of sorts for the city council's first year in office.

They will be grading municipal servicesfrom parking to economic development.

Members will be asked to rate how city council has been doing in areas that affect local business.

Mark O'Keefe, president of the Greater Summerside and Area Chamber of Commerce, says the survey will also help chart progress from year to year.

"The scorecard shows a certain scoring in certain areas this year," O'Keefe explained. "Then if the same survey's done again next year, which is the intention,we're hoping that the city is making positive progress."

The surveys were distributed a few weeks ago, and the results will go to city councillors.
