Commercial Cross two-car collision leaves one woman dead

A 44-year-old woman has died in a two-vehicle collision in Commercial Cross, P.E.I.

Police say the woman from Belle River lost control of her vehicle and crossed the centre line before colliding with an oncoming vehicle at the intersection of routes 4 and 316 on Friday afternoon.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical services.

A 70-year-old man driving the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that police say are not considered life threatening.
