Confederation Bridge tolls going up in new year

The Confederation Bridge announced Monday morning that new tolls will go into effect Jan. 1.

Some tolls unchanged

Some tolls are unchanged on Confederation Bridge, and others will go up 25 or 50 cents. (CBC)

The Confederation Bridge, connecting P.E.I. and New Brunswick, announced Monday morning that new tolls will go into effect Jan. 1.

Some tolls are unchanged, and others are going up $0.25 or $0.50.

  • Two-axle vehicle $46.00, up $0.50.
  • Per additional axle $ 7.50, no change.
  • Motorcycle $18.50, up $0.25.
  • Pedestrian $4.25, no change.
  • Cyclist $8.75, up $0.25.

The amount which tolls on the bridge can increase is determined by a contract with the federal government.
