Dodgeball tournament could draw 2,000 people to Summerside

About 2,000 people are expected to come to Summerside today for the Island Dodgeball Championship.

About 2,000 people are expected to come to Summerside, P.E.I.today to watch people dodge, dive and deflect their way to glory.

The IslandDodgeballChampionship is underway at the Credit Union Place.

Junior high tournaments run in the afternoon and the highschools play at night.

About 500 athletes from 31 teams will play.

According to organizers,more than 1,400 flocked toUPEI for the event last year.

That event had more than300players from schools across the Island.
