Dr. Grant Matheson under restrictions

The P.E.I. College of Physicians and Surgeons restricted the ability of Dr. Grant Matheson to prescribe narcotics.

The college says it took the action after an investigation into the prescribing of narcotics for chronic pain control.

It says Dr. Matheson, a family doctor in Charlottetown, will not be able to prescribe narcotics for chronic pain until he has completed further training in this area of medicine.
