E-gaming initiative defence filings deny claims

Two private business people named in the $25-million lawsuit involving an e-gaming initiative by the P.E.I. government have filed their defences with the court.

Two private business people named in the $25-million lawsuit involving an e-gaming initiative by the P.E.I. government have filed their defences with the court.

Garth Jenkins and his company Ventis Technology Partners, and Paul Jenkins along with his company 7628382 Canada Corporation, deny allegations made against them in a suit that was filed by Capital Market Technologies in April.

The suit also named the P.E.I. government and several government officials.The province has already filed its defence, also denying the claims.

The e-gaming initiative explored the possibility of regulating e-gaming on P.E.I.The plan was abandoned in 2012.
