Island Storm basketball team plays first pre-season game Friday

The Island Storm play their first exhibition game of the pre-season Friday night in Cape Breton.

The National Basketball League team will be testing the new Halifax Hurricanes.

The Storm has three cuts to make before their season opener in Charlottetown on Boxing Day.

Coach Joe Salerno has been reported saying he'll probably make two of those cuts after Friday's game.

The team is coming off nine days practicing on home court in Charlottetown.
