Charlottetown music teacher earns international recognition

A Charlottetown music teacher who specializes in working with young children has earned a prestigious designation.

Emily McDonald runs a Kindermusik studio in Charlottetown and seasonal programs in Kensington. Kindermusik recently named McDonald one of 300 maestros among the 5,000 Kindermusik instructors in the world.

McDonald started teaching Kindermusik just three years ago.

"It has been truly amazing watching the studio blossom in to what it is today: a vibrant, welcoming community filled with joy, music, movement and lots of giggles!" McDonald said in a news release.

McDonald's Sweet Song Studio is expanding this year with a new teacher.
