Liberal Leadership Convention: CBC providing live coverage

CBC's Compass, hosted by Bruce Rainnie, will be broadcasting live from the P.E.I. Liberal Leadership Convention Saturday.

The convention is being held at thePrince Edward Island Convention Centre in Charlottetown.

Coverage will begin at 2:30 p.m. with an online pre-show.

Live coverage will begin at 3 p.m. on television, radio and online.

Liberal MP SeanCasey and Compass political panelistRickMacLean will join Rainnie for the live showto offer analysis at the convention.

On Saturday, the convention will feature appearances by special guests, entertainment and the leader's address.

A tribute was given to outgoing Premier RobertGhiz on Friday night. He served for 12 years as P.E.I. Liberal leader, eight years of which were as premier. He announced his resignation as premier in November.
