Man dies in motorcycle accident

A man from eastern P.E.I. died Sunday night when his motorcycle left the road near Morell, according to RCMP.

The Morell Fire Department and Island EMS responded to the crash on Route 2, about one kilometreeast of Morell.

No other vehicles were involved.

The40-year-old driver, who was from Souris, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

RCMP say themotorcycle was travelling west on Route 2 and failed to negotiate a curve to the right. Itwent off the road to the left and into a deep ditch.

A drivertravelling east on Route 2 saw the accident and called911to report it.
