P.E.I. health officials visit N.S. centres

Maggie Brown reports from a trip by P.E.I. health officials to collaborative care centres in Nova Scotia.

P.E.I. Health Minister Doug Currie and a team of provincial health officials are travelling to Nova Scotia today to visit collaborative emergency centres in Springhill and Parsboro.

The centres - which combine the services of doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, paramedics and other health care professionals are designed to give local residents more timely access to the health services they need, from 24/7 emergency care to same or next day routine medical appointments.

The CBC's Maggie Brown is on the trip, and will send reports through the day.
