Teaching an old vet new tricks: Conference aims to spread knowledge on animal health

The P.E.I. BioAlliance is coordinating the Vet Health Global International Animal Health and Nutrition Business Conference to be hosted in Charlottetown next week.

The federal and provincial governments are funding the meeting

The P.E.I. BioAllianceis coordinating the VetHealth GlobalInternational Animal Health and Nutrition Business Conference to be hosted in Charlottetown next week.

The federal government is supporting the meeting with $67,000through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, while the province, through Innovation PEI, is contributing $47,000.

The conference bringsstakeholders in the industry together to learn about the latest trends in animal health and nutritionand provides a networking opportunity to businesses in the field.

"It's an excellent opportunity for local companies to connect and potentially partner with companies from out of province," saidMinister for Economic Development and Tourism HeathMacDonaldin a news release.

"And a great opportunity for off-Island companies to gain a better understanding of our province and the many reasons to invest here."

The conference will run from June 12-14 at the Delta Prince Edward.
