The four Atlantic premiers and some federal ministers will meet Monday on P.E.I.

They won't be meeting in a conference room or an office, they'll be meeting in a barn on Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay's property.

P.E.I. Premier Wade MacLauchlan said the key issues on the agenda are economic growth and immigration.

This is a large number of people to see P.E.I. at its best, and it's also an indication that Prince Edward Island can and does play a leadership role.- Premier Wade MacLauchlan

"These have been priorities for Prince Edward Island and on both fronts Prince Edward Island has led the region and we believe we're well positioned for further growth," he said.

"We're looking forward to some historic achievements."

This is the third time in the past year P.E.I. has hosted the Atlantic premiers. MacLachlan says about 60 people will attend on Monday.

"This is a large number of people to see P.E.I. at its best, and it's also an indication that Prince Edward Island can and does play a leadership role," he said.
