P.E.I.'s Island Storm basketball team learned Wednesday night who they will face in the NBLC Atlantic Division conference final.

The top-seeded Halifax Hurricanes completed a sweep of the Moncton Miracles in Moncton. The Miracles never got within double digits of the Hurricanes in the three-game sweep.

The Island Storm had a much more difficult time advancing to the second round.

The third-seeded Storm needed all five games to get past the second-seeded Saint John Riptide. They finished the series Tuesday night with an overtime win on the road.

Former Storm assistant leading Hurricanes

It will be a battle of old foes and old friends for the Storm and Hurricanes.

The two teams played in the conference finals last year, with the Hurricanes taking the series. At the time, Halifax coach Mike Leslie was the assistant coach of the Island team. He will face Storm coach and long-time friend Joe Salerno.

The first two games will beSunday and Tuesday in Halifax. Games three and four will take place Thursday and Saturday at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.
