A report on the Clyde River fish kill will be released within the next couple of weeks, says the P.E.I. Department of Environment.
The fish kill in the river, which runs into the Northumberland Strait just west of Charlottetown, was reported July 25 after heavy rains the day before.
More than 300 dead fish were collected in the investigation done by officials with Environment Canada along with the provincial Justice and Environment departments. Water, soil, vegetation and dead fish were collected and sent for testing.
The Clyde has since been stocked with small trout by the Department of Environment, one of nine rivers stocked this summer to help boost fish populations.
