Charlottetown vehicle stop leads to cocaine charge

The Charlottetown Police Service charged a 34-year-old city man with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking after a vehicle stop on Thursday.

Police respond to erratic driving call, charge man with possession of cocaine for trafficking

A call to police about an erratic driver has led to a drug charge against a 34-year-old Charlottetown man.

On Thursday afternoon, the Charlottetown Police Service received a report about an erratic driver on the Kensington Road.

Cocaine, cash seized

After pulling over the vehicle, police say they discovered more than 20 grams of cocaine in clear view. Police also say cash was seized as a result of the vehicle stop.

The man was arrested and jailed. He was charged with possession of cocaine for trafficking and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
