Conor Shea identified as victim of fatal snowmobile crash

A teen killed in a snowmobile accident in West Prince Sunday afternoon has been identified as Conor Shea.

A teen killed in a snowmobile accident in West Prince Sunday afternoon has been identified as Conor Shea. He is the son of Michael and Patricia Shea of Pleasant View.

14-year-oldShea was snowmobiling not far from his home in Pleasant View Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. whenhis snowmobile crossed the road into the path of an oncoming car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Funeral arrangementsare withthe West Prince Funeral Home, with visiting hours Wed. 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Conor leaves behind siblings Bradley, Ashley and Madison Shea and his dog Nash.

The notice posted on the funeral home website also mentions grandmothers Frances Anne Shea and Anne Shea Pond as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He attended grade eight at M.E. Callaghan Intermediate School.

The notice also notes memorial donations in Conor's name are welcome to a fund to purchase hockey jerseys for Tignish minor hockey or for P.E.I. Right to Life Association.

The funeral will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church on Palmer Road Thursday with funeral mass at 1 p.m.

Police said Tuesday their investigation has pretty much wrapped up. The only piece of evidence they are still waiting for is a traffic analyst's report. RCMP do not expect to lay any charges.
