Job fair delegates aim to woo Europeans to P.E.I.

Two representatives from P.E.I. are heading to France and Belgium to promote the province to those wanting to live and work in Canada.

Two representatives from P.E.I. are heading to France and Belgium to promote the Islandto people who want to live and work in Canada.

Joininga delegation headed to Destination Canada job fairs, theyplan to share information about lifestyle and business opportunities with pre-selected candidates.

DelegateGregory Urier, aneconomic development officer a francophone business development group in Charlottetown, anticipates it will be easy to get some of the 3,200 Europeans who are invited to the event, excited about the Island.

"To me it's the best place, it's very nice for family, very nice for business, it's easy to travel and we have a big, big partnership with every sector from provincial, federal and communities," he said.

The group has had success with this type of outreach in the past, says Urier.

He will be accompanied by Jacinthe Lemire, director of P.E.I.'s francophone integration cooperative.

The job fairs, presented by the Embassy of Canada, take place between Nov. 15 and 22nd.
