Here are the nominated candidates running in the P.E.I. election

In total, 109candidates entered the race in the 2019 election which would be a record number, according to historical election data on the Elections P.E.I. site. For comparison, the 2015 P.E.I. election had 105 candidates.

The Greens, Liberals and PCs ran a full slate of candidates onein each of P.E.I.'s 27 districts. The NDP ran 24 candidates.

There were alsofour Independent candidates that decided to runacross P.E.I.

35 of the candidates that put their name forward werewomen 11 for the NDP, nine for the Greens, eight for the Liberals and seven for the PCs.

However, there are now 104 candidates running in the election. District 4Independent candidateAndy Clareywithdrew,and the untimely death of District 9 Green candidate Josh Underhay has postponed the election in that district.

Voters in that district will still head to the polls Tuesday to vote in the referendum, but will elect a representativein a byelection sometime in the next three months.
