Ferry travellers between Wood Islands, P.E.I. and Caribou, Nova Scotia, will see a familiar vessel on Sunday.

According to Northumberland Ferries, as of 1:30 p.m. the sailing schedule between the two provinces is returning to normal and the MV Holiday Island is back in service.

The MV Holiday Island has been undergoing upgrades this summer, leaving travellers with only the MV Confederation for ferry service.

But on Thursday, the MV Confederation was also taken out of service due to electrical issues. Travellers had no ferry service until Sunday afternoon.

More information on the ferry schedule can be found on Northumberland's website.
