If you want to satisfy your craving for food truck food all year round, your wish has been granted by Charlottetown council.

At its meeting Monday night, a bylaw amendment dealing with mobile canteens passed third reading.

That means food trucks on private property can choose their own operating times and open at any time of year. The restriction still applies inside the 500-lot area, which is most of the area south ofEustonStreet,

The issue came up whenthe owners of Ken's Island Fries asked for the amendment, arguing the six-month operating period ending at the end of October didn't make sense.

The trucks have been allowed to operate while the decision was being made by council.
