The body of Capt. Glen DesRoches has been recovered, but his family members say they won't rest until the body of Moe Getson, the other fisherman lost at sea when their boat capsized off North Cape, P.E.I., has also been found.

A vigil was held Sunday afternoon in Tignish for the DesRoches family. Desroches's body was found earlier in the morning about half a kilometre west of the North Cape Lighthouse.

Sunday morning, West Prince RCMP and P.E.I. Ground Search and Rescue resumed a shoreline search for Getson's body.

A third crew member on the boat made it ashore safely on Tuesday.

There were prayers and hugs for the DesRoches family at the St. Simon-St. Jude Church in Tignish on Sunday.

DesRoches's son, Sheldon DesRoches, said the family is now feeling some closure, and will try to keep positive like his father always was.

To have my father found and Moe still be out there, I just want him to come back so we can move forward. Lucas DesRoches

"My father always had the biggest smile," he said. "I'm just grateful to have him right now and I'm hoping that we find the body of Moe Getson."

In the days ahead, the DesRoches family will be planning their father's funeral. But they said they won't rest until Getson's body has also been recovered.

"Everybody's doing everything they can to find him," said Sheldon DesRoches. "Nobody's going to stop until they find him."

Another son, Lucas DesRoches, said the family has been praying for the day his father's body would be found. He said he got a text from a friend Sunday morning saying there was news at the cape.

"I knew that it had to be one of the bodies," he said.

"The first thing I thought was if they found him that Moe had to be really close because I just knew that they would be together and I'm hoping before the end of the day or very soon Moe will come up as well."

Lucas DesRoches said Getson was like one of the family.

"To have my father found and Moe still be out there, I just want him to come back so we can move forward."
