RCMP seeking public's help in search for robbery suspect

RCMP are investigating a robbery at the North River Quick Mart, near theroundabout at York Point Road in Cornwall, P.E.I., Tuesday afternoon.

The Queens DistrictRCMPare asking for the public's help to locate a suspect who police say wasinvolved in a robbery, Tuesday night.

RCMP Sgt. Leanne Butler said policehave laid a charge of robbery and issued a warrant for the arrest of Michael Hollinger, 26. Police say the charge was laid following arobbery at the North River Quick Martnear theroundabout at York Point Road in Cornwall, P.E.I.

"We have identified the suspect, we have laid a charge and we secured a warrant for his arrest," Butler said.

Butler saidpolice received a call of a robbery at about 4:36 p.m and police are asking anyone who may have information aboutHollingerto contact them.

"He's described as 5-foot-ten, and has a distinctive tattoo on his neck that says, "Loyalty"," Butler said.

Butler said Hollingeralso may be driving ablue Ford Crown Victoria or a blue Mazda with thethe P.E.I. licence plate number374WW.

Butler said Hollinger is known to Charlottetown Police and the RCMP is warning the public not to approach him if they see him. Anyone who has any information about Hollinger should report it to police, Butler said.

"We are giving caution to the public that they shouldn't approach him, that if they see him they should call 911 or if they have information where he may currently be they can call our regular RCMP number at 902-368-9300," Butler said.

Police said no one was injured during the incident.
