Pedestrian struck by car in Charlottetown

A 62-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle Friday night, Charlottetown Police say.

Injuries not believed to be life-threatening

A 62-year-old man was struck by a car along the arterial highway between Brackley Point Road and Mount Edward Road Friday night.

A 62-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle Friday night, Charlottetown Police say.

The man was walking along the arterial highway between Brackley Point Road and Mount Edward Road at around 9:30 p.m., when he was hit.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, said Cpl. Dean Field.

No charges have been laid, but police are still investigating.

Excessive speed is not believed to be a factor. The speed limit on that stretch of road is 70 kilometres an hour.
