More snow? Special weather statement issued

Even before Prince Edward Islanders have finished cleaning up from the first serious snow of the season Monday morning, they need to look ahead to the possibility of more snow Tuesday night.

Even before Prince Edward Islanders have finished cleaning up from the first serious snow of the season Monday morning, they need to look ahead to the possibility of more snow Tuesday night.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement regarding a storm expected to hit the Island overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday. How much snow will come is difficult to predict at this point, said CBC weather specialist Kevin "Boomer" Gallant.

"The exact track of this system needs to be watched for the snow/rain line for P.E.I.," said Gallant.

"Snow to start for sure."

Current models are suggesting 10 to 15 centimetres.

Environment Canada is currently calling for snow through the night Tuesday, with the change to rain happening Wednesday.
