No running water? Visit the Souris Co-op

If you're running low on fresh water in the Souris area because you have no electricity, you might want to drop by the local Co-op.

The power has been out in large parts of eastern P.E.I. since Sunday. Souris Co-op store manager David Fraser said many around Souris lost power around noon Sunday.

Fraser said offering free water with the store's water filtration system was an easy way to help out.

"We're not going to run out, as long as people have their own containers," he said.

"Anything we can do, a small gesture, would be a great way to help."

Fraser said the store, which is running on generators, has been busy the last couple of days with bad weather keeping people in the area.
