Premier Wade MacLauchlan appoints new deputy ministers

Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan has shuffled the province's top bureaucrats and appointed new deputy ministers.

Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan has shuffled the province's topbureaucrats and appointed new deputy ministers.

Among the new appointments, Paul Ledwell becomes MacLauchlan's senior policy advisor as the deputy minister of policy and priorities.

His new role combines the two former positions of principal secretary and deputy minister of intergovernmental affairs.

Brian Douglas has been named Clerk of the Executive Council.

The new CEO of the PEI Energy Commission is Kim Horrelt who has a background in the construction industry.

Susan Willis, with almost 40 years experience as an educator, becomes the deputy minister of the Department of Education, Early Learning and Culture.
