Charlottetown hotel offers romantic ways to propose

The Great George Hotel in Charlottetown is offering what it calls "perfect proposal packages," for those hoping to increasing their chances of hearing "yes."

The hotel has put together what it's calling a "proposal concierge service."

It offers a variety of romantic moments that will set the right mood for popping the question.

"If they wanted to have a carriage ride or a sunset cruise before their dinner," suggested Ian Cheverie, guest services manager for the Great George. "When they are out for dinner we would set up their room, you know, with rose petals, a specific type of wine that they wanted. We really cater to any request that they may have."

That could include anything from a sunset beach proposal to popping the question while horseback riding.

The hotel has been the location for many wedding nights or as a place for the bridal party to get ready, said Cheverie, so the proposal service seemed like a natural fit.

There are three proposal packages available with different price levels starting at around $550 and going up to about $1,200.

The hotel can't guarantee a yes, but Cheverie is confident this will help.
