RCMP investigate fatal crash in Margate

A 96-year-old man is dead and a 62-year-old woman was seriously injured Sunday afternoon after a single vehicle car crash in Margate.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Route 6.

East Prince RCMP say the woman was driving and the man was a passenger when the car left the road and struck a culvert. The man from Park Corner was declared dead at the scene.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Prince County Hospital. An RCMP collision analyst was on the scene, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is still on-going.
